I'm back from Minnesota, which sadly means that summer is over and I've got tons of work to catch up on. On the positive side, my vacation was incredible. The highlights included: 1.) Catching several Walleye on a fishing expedition with my husband and father-in-law 2:) Playing an entire 9 holes of golf for the first time (I've been trying to learn how to play this summer, but had only been to the driving range up until this game. It was definitely a learning experience!) 3.) Pontoon boat rides with the entire family 4.) Pancake breakfasts, steak and fish dinners, and icecream every evening looking out over the lake 5.) Spending lots of time playing with my niece, Charlotte, and her mother (my sister-in-law) announcing that she's pregnant again, which means another niece or nephew will be here in March!
Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the week...
The view of our cabin from the lake
Charlotte loved this little cart. And she had just finished watching Finding Nemo, and couldn't stop making fishy faces!!

We ate our icecream and watched the sun setting behind the lake every single night. Wish I had this view to admire every night...
My hubby and I before we went out fishing
The first bass I caught. I wasn't exactly keen on touching it, so I made G hold it up for the camera
My first real game of golf. Some shots were great, and some were pretty awful, but all in all I had a blast! The course was beautiful with the lake behind us, and the weather was perfect.
My mom played some "horsey game" with my niece, and she just loved it. She broke out in ecstatic giggles every time. LOVE HER!
On the pontoon boat. Charlotte loved being the captain!
My parents on a boat ride our last day there. Already wishing I was back there!
I finally got up the nerve to hold a fish I caught on the last day there. This is right before it flipped it's way out of my hands and flopped mercilessly around the boat while I screamed! I can be such a wimp sometimes.
Happy Monday to everyone, and hope your week is off to a great start!
Sounds like you had a great vacation. I am sad that summer is coming to an end but I am excited for Fall =)
