Happy Holidays!

Well, it's finally the day! My husband and I are packing up our car with a week's worth of clothes, and headed to St. Louis to celebrate Christmas with my family, followed by a Christmas celebration the following weekend with his family. Can't beat that.

No shopping post today - just warm wishes for a fabulous week of family, great food, sleeping in, and spending time with loved ones!

Happy Holidays!

Piperlime and New Years Eve

The few days before Christmas always seem to be some of the best shopping days - sales everywhere, free shipping, and deep discounts. One of my favorite yearly sales is the Piperlime Lime Tag Sale - up to 40% off, free shipping, and free returns on numerous fabulous brands. And as I was browsing through the sale, I noticed that they've got several great New Years styles as well. Just an fyi if you're still on the lookout for the perfect (yet affordable) New Years ensemble.

Renting Designer Pieces

While reading my last issue of People Style Watch, an article about saving money caught my eye, specifically the part about renting designer looks at a fraction of the price. Have you ever rented a dress or a bag online? I don't know how I feel about wearing clothes that have been repeatedly worn by unknown people, but at the same time it sounds fantastic for those special events where you need an expensive dress or bag that you doubt you'll wear more than once.

People Style Watch recommended these 2 websites for rentals:

Renttherunway.com and Weartodaygonetomorrow.com

At Weartodaygonetomorrow.com, for example, you can borrow any of these dresses for up to 7 days. There are popular brands like Michael Kors, Herve Leger, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and Halston Heritage, and prices start around $35! Not to mention, if you're not sure about whether or not you'd like a look, you can pay $12 to test out 2 looks for 24 hours. Pretty enticing, no?

Maybe you could rent one for New Years this year. What do you think? Tempting or not into the borrowing thing?

Barney's & Gaga's Workshop

How have I not heard about this until now?! Barneys New York has paired up with Lady Gaga to make "Gaga's Workshop". What is Gaga's Workshop you ask? Its a shop with a bunch of unique gifts (think Gaga style) that benefit her new charity, the Born This Way Foundation. The Born This Way Foundation's mission is to empower youth through mentoring, career development, as well as other initiatives. Not bad Gaga!

Curious to find out what gifts you can find in her shop? Check it out here. Most of these items are not cheap, but I still wanted to post about it because it makes me laugh, and it does go towards a good cause!

Yes, this is indeed a cookie. Stocking stuffer?

Happy Weekend!

ShopBop Sale

There are so many sales going on right now, it's hard to decide what to blog about! But I just found out that ShopBop is offering 20% off their sale items (that are 50% off or 70% off) by using code EXTRA20 at checkout. I absolutely love ShopBop and they rarely have these kinds of promotions, so I didn't want to pass it up. Here's just a glimpse at a few of their sale items...

30% off Anthropologie's Sale

From all of your comments, I know there are a lot of Anthropologie enthusiasts out there, so I wanted to let you know that they're currently offering 30% off their sale (in store and online). This doesn't happen very often, so take advantage! Now, the real question is should I shop for myself or should I shop for others?? :)
