Super Bowl Weekend in Indianapolis!

Well, the big weekend is finally here! While the Colts may not be playing in the Super Bowl, Indianapolis is certainly excited to be the host city and its all anyone here is talking about. Last weekend, my friends and I checked out Super Bowl village downtown, and this weekend I think we'll return. We don't have tickets to the game or to any of the big events, but how can we pass up the opportunity to just enjoy the excitement of the city?

There's so much attention on our city (for once!), it's hard not to be just a little excited. Jimmy Fallon has been taping in Indy all week, and apparently even The Today Show is taping from downtown tomorrow morning. And this is the first time I've heard of multiple celebrity sightings in one day - I'm enjoying the flood of facebook status updates and tweets from fellow friends' about their run-ins with celebs down-town. While this may seem pathetic for those of you who live in NYC or Cali, we Hoosiers are not used to having celebs in our city! But in all seriousness, I hope everyone has a fun Super Bowl Sunday planned. And for those of you who are Giants or Patriots fans, good luck!

Flowers and Pleats

I always enjoy browsing through Piperlime's "Girl on a Budget" section, which is dedicated to clothes, shoes, and accessories under $100. Today when I was checking it out, I came across this floral printed dress for only $54. Isn't it adorable??

It's actually an Olivia Palermo pick, as well. I love everything about this dress - the cut, the pleats, and the colors. I know the end of January is no time to wear this dress, but as my hubby and I finalized our spring break plans last night, I realized that with the coming of February, spring is really not that far off, right?! (I'm trying to be optimistic here!)

Tory Burch Wallet and Super Bowl Excitement

On another note, does anyone have any fun plans for this weekend? Since I live in Indianapolis, our city is really starting to amp up for the Super Bowl in a week! I'm actually going to the "NFL Experience" downtown tomorrow, which is described as an "interactive theme park". We're going mostly just to soak in the excitement of the city, but I've heard that you can zip-line through the city, meet NFL players, and I guess there are even simulations that make you feel like you are really passing on an NFL field. Anyway, should be interesting! Bummed that the Colts did so bad this year, but still excited to experience Indianapolis' first Super Bowl!
